What we collect
Donor Match stores your answers and your matches, and collects your email address only if you ask to have your results emailed to you. If you sign in, we keep the email address you sign in with. If you claim a profile, we also keep the note you write and any document you upload to verify the claim. If you join the Featured waitlist, we keep the email address you give and the cause area you chose. Members publish their profile details, logo and News stories on the site, including stories imported from a feed they connect. When an organization signs a Policy Agenda position, its name and city appear on that position while its profile is public. Membership is paid through Stripe, which holds the card details; this site never receives them. The site counts page visits with Vercel Analytics.
How we use it
A donor email address is used only to send the results that donor asked for and for nothing else. The email address you sign in with is used to sign you in and to write to you about your profile, claim, membership and News feed. A claim document is kept private: only the person who uploaded it and the people who review claims can open it, and it is used only to decide the claim.
Your choices
You can take Donor Match without giving an email address. Your results have a page of their own at a link that is hard to guess, and anyone you share that link with can open it. Signing in sets a cookie on this site that keeps you signed in, and the site sets no third-party cross-site cookies.
